Any time I can get away to Mystic I have to stop here for their spicy garlic ramen. It's never packed when I'm there, usually pretty empty which does take away from the ambiance... but regardless.. The food, which is most important, is always on point. This time I also tried the chicken Katsu bao and it was phenomenal. The pork in the ramen was semi-fattier than I'm used to, but the broth.. amazing.
If you want authentic and a peaceful escape from the busy street then this is your new go-to.

What a terrible experience. My waitress confirmed something on the menu wasn't spicy and it was. My friend ordered SPICY thai peanut and it was pretty much peanut water.
The manager was nice and gave me a 2nd dish and I chose ramen instead of a rice bowl.
That was an even worse idea. It had FIVE pieces of bok c
t tasted terrible. It was over powered with that flavor and the noodles were under cooked.
Spoke to the manager about these problems and I got 10% off ONE ITEM on my bill. They took $1.39 as an I'm sorry on a $43 bill. -

I was cautiously excited about trying this place as it claims to be "authentic Japanese ramen", being born & raised as Chinese and lived in Japan for over 6 months, I know my ramen. From the pictures on Yelp, they looked promising, so decided to give it a shot. We came here Labor day weekend for a Sunday night dinner, the place still had plenty of seating which is not a great sign. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. They were accommodating of small children and had crayons and color paper for my daughter.
Good selection of draft beers on tap and our waitress was very nice. For app, we had the korean bun bao, they were good and came quickly, so we had our hopes up for the ramen.
We ordered the Shouyu Tonkatsu ramen and the Samurai ramen. First of all, it took FOREVER to get our food... I thought they might of forgotten our order! When they finally came.... they had great portion, good veggie, soft boiled eggs, and nice soup flavor, however the star Ramen seems to be those yellow egg noodles used in typical Chinese stir fry noodle from a takeout restaurant; not the thinner chewy Ramen in an authentic Japanese ramen place. *Sigh. SO disappointing!!! I do think that their soup is a bit too oily as we both felt bloated and gross after dinner... Not a typical feeling after eating real Japanese food.
Aside from that, we also had their house fried rice with fried tofu since my daughter did not like the ramen (and she typically loves ramen). She did enjoy the fried rice so that's a plus.
I think this place has potential, but unfortunately surrounded by so many other great Restaurants near, they really should step up their game to be able to compete. -

Wife and I came for the 1st time today. Thought it was fantastic. Service was great, cocktails and food were fantastic. We will make it a point to return soon.

Really good food- homemade ramen noodles. I got a stir fry with tofu and the tofu was crisp and yummy
Hubby got the ramen soup and it was very flavorful. Great change from all the seafood we've been eating for days
